Minority Catharsis

-Anahita Teresa Paul, I Visual Arts

Art by Diya Padmakumar, I B.A English and Communication Skills

He said blessed be the mystery of love
And Sappho’s sapphire soul thought
“Someone, I tell you, in another time will remember us.”
Byzantine times gone, a new era is born
The technicolor unfurls in pride
The Oscar Wildes
Of today take it in their stride
They hold the colours of life
Pink, red and turquoise
A minority catharsis has begun
They won’t be quieted, they won’t be shunned
And pray tell me, why they should be
If love is love is love is love is love.
